"Bill" Article Text: William C. "Bill" Moore, 89, of Pleasant Hill, and formerly of Big Pine Key, Fla. died Thursday, April 10, 2008 morning at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield. He was born Oct. 4, 1918 in Rochester, N.Y. the son of Clyde D. and Lulu E. Moore. Bill married Claudia Bader April 19, 1982 in Key West, Fla. and she survives. He was employed in the automotive industry as a tool maker in Michigan before retiring and moving to Big Pine Key, Fla. He was an Army veteran of WWII, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He enjoyed fishing, swimming and boating. Survivors include his wife, Claudia Moore of Pleasant Hill; two daughters, Shana (husband Rick) Casey and Sheri (husband Christopher) Golden; and a granddaughter, Samantha golden, all of the Florida Keys; a sister-in-law, Barbara (husband Bill) McKee of Pleasant Hill and several nieces and nephews in Michigan. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Florida Keys.
