Article Text: Helen C. Theobald, 92, of Clinton, died March 18, 2008, at Manor Court in Clinton. She was born Nov. 14, 1915 in Marion County, Ohio to Roy Holdridge and Lillian Johnston. She married Rev. Walter M. Theobald March 30, 1941 in Bloomington. He died Feb. 27, 1990. She graduated from I.S.U. Normal in 1938. She was a retired Elementary School Teacher. Member of DeWitt-Logan Counties Retired Teachers Association. She volunteered with Faith In Action and at the church. She received the DeWitt County Outstanding Volunteer Award in 1994. With marriage to Rev. Walter M. Theobald together they lived in LaPrairie Center, Joy, Cambridge, Sullivan, Clinton, Pittsfield, Kewanee, Abingdon and later retiring in Clinton in 1979.SHe belonged to the Clinton United Methodist Church in Clinton. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy T. (Bill) Beadles of Clinton and LouAnne C. (Wayne) Shuyler of Salem Ore.; three Sisters: Catherine Loudenslager of Marion, Ohio, Melissa Myers of Lacey, Washington and Jean Reeves of Pittsboro, N. C.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son: Steven B. Theobald. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at the Clinton United Methodist Church in Clinton with Rev. Leah Pogemiller. Visitation was held at 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 21, at the Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton. Interment Fairlawn Cemetery in Decatur.
