Jean was born in Pittsfield Nov.11, 1945 to Donald and Mabel Josephine Cawthon Hull. She married John Logsdon Jan. 19, 1964 in Pearl and he survives. Jean was a lifelong Pike County resident and graduated as Salutatorian from Pittsfield High School. She worked as a supervisor for Cruttenden Orchards in Barry for more than 20 years, and she was a familiar face at the Barry Apple Festival, selling their apples every year. Jean enjoyed camping and spending time with her family and friends, and going to flea markets with her sister. Her life's work was that she took care of her kids and family, always treating everybody else better than she allowed herself to be treated. Survivors include John, her husband of 44 years; two sons, Jesse (wife Paula) Logsdon of Barry and Ron (wife Renata) Logsdon of Lockhart, Texas; two daughters, Cheryl (husband John) Webber of Davenport, Iowa and Della (husband Dean) Coleman of Barry; four grandchildren, Josh, Rebecca and Sarah Logsdon of Barry and Angel Mae Coleman of Barry; and one great-grandson, Landon Logsdon; four brothers, Earl and Butch Hull of Baylis, Bruce Hull of Savannah Tenn. and Oatha Hull of Barry; and five sisters, Patricia Baxter and Della Rush of New Salem, Ida Lawber of Barry, Jewel Warren of Tennessee, and Shelia DeVerger of Quincy. Jean was preceded by her parents and two brothers, Donald and Chuck Hull. Services were held Sunday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry with Rev David and Pam Brown officiating. Visitation was held Saturday evening from 4 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial was at the Grey Cemetery near New Salem. A dinner was held for family and friends at the Barry American Legion Hall following the service. Memorials may be left to the St Louis Childrens Hospital. Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry is handling the arrangements.
