Article Text: Anna T. Jordan, 92, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at the Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield. She was the daughter of John and Catherine Duermody Jordan and she was born Feb. 17, 1916 in Pittsfield. She worked as a foreman at the Brown Shoe Factory in Pittsfield. Anna was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and a member of the Altar society. She enjoyed bowling, spending time with family and friends. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and very proud of Pittsfield. Survivors include nieces, Carolyn Simmons, Cathy DesChane, Patty Beam, Sue Ryan, Nancy Hart, Linda Hamblen, Marilyn Kamp and Carolyn Goetten; nephews, Jim Jordan and Jeffrey Jordan; several great nieces and nephews; several surviving cousins in Ireland; and cousins, Bernard and Agnes Kearney of Glenview. She was preceded by brothers, Jim Jordan, John Jordan, Richard Jordan and Tom Jordan; twin brothers, Walter Jordan and Paul Jordan (infancy); sisters, Agnes Lamphear, Margaret Jordan, Mary Ochs and Genny Godar. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1 at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pittsfield with Fr. Rodney Schwartz officiating. Burial was at the Calvary Cemetery, Pittsfield. Lunch was served at the St. Mary's Parish Hall following services. Visitation was held Friday, Feb. 29 at the Niebur Funeral Home at 4 p.m. -family present 6-8 p.m. with Parish Prayer Service at 4 p.m. and Rosary at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the memorials are to the St. Mary's Catholic Church or Calvary Cemetery. The Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield handled the arrangements.
