Article Text: Virginia L. Bagby, 74, of Streator, died Saturday, April 26, at Heritage Manor, Streator. Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Winterrowd Funeral Home in Streator. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday at the Church of the Nazarene in Streator. Burial will be in the West Cemetery in Pittsfield. Born Feb. 23, 1934, in Barry, she was the daughter of Russell Sellers and Thelma (Hinch) Miller. She married David Bagby July 26, 1952. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Carolyn S. Abraham of Bourbonnais and Michelle L. (Bob) Retoff of Streator; two sons, David R. (Denise) Bagby of Swannanoa, N.C., and Gerald W. (Wendy) Bagby of Streator; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; four brothers, Russell "Jr" (Dorothy) Miller of Quincy, Melvin (Carrie) Miller of Barry, Norman (Connie) Miller of Hannibal, Mo., and Tom (Monique) Miller of Pittsfield; and three sisters, Wanda Kingery of Blue Springs, Mo., Sue (Pablo) Lara of Pittsfield and Rosemary (Glen) Darnell of Liberty. She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Lee and Donald Ray; four sisters, Betty Malone, Jean Niffen, Mardell Smith and Joyce Wintjen; and two brothers, Don and Dick Miller. She was employed at Heritage Manor as a nurses' aide until 1980. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years, was on the church board and was director of Vacation Bible School and was past president of the Missionary Society. She attended Barry Elementary and High School in Barry. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicole Bagby, Jaime Harshman, Jennifer and Landon Abraham, Jill Retoff and Chamille, Sarah and Benjamin Bagby. Active pallbearers will be Dave, Nate, Gerald and Derek Bagby, Bob and Joe Retoff, Wade Harshman and Josh Abraham.
