Article Text: John E. Bridgewater, 55, of Barry, died Saturday afternoon, April 26,2008, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. He was born Aug. 21, 1952, in Springfield, the son of Francis and Dorothy Thien Bridgewater. He married Rose M. Sharrow Nov. 12,1997, in Carrollton, and she survives. He is also survived by one son, John J. (wife, Juanita) of New Canton; two daughters, Dorothy Bridgewater (companion, Randy Swartz) of Rockport and Amber Bridgewater at home; five grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis Bridgewater (companion. Robert Oden) of Eldred; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Bridgewater was a laborer for Titan Wheel in Quincy. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday at Hanks-Gress Funeral Home in Pearl with burial at Green Pond Cemetery in Pearl. Visitation will be from 9-30 a.m. until time of services.
