    3. Elmer Schrock GRIDLEY (PNS) - Elmer Schrock, 79, died at his home of an apparent heart attack Monday morning. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Salem Evangelical Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Charles Rupp officiating. Burial will be in Waldo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Froelich Memorial Home. He will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Thursday. He was born Nov. 24, 1894, in Waldo Township near Flanagan, a son of Joseph C. and Elizabeth Eigsti Schrock. He married Alma E. Ulrich Dec. 6, 1916, at Flanagan. She died March 15, 1935. He married Lena Harder Dec. 18, 1936, at Gridley. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Loretta Ellenson, Pontiac; Mrs. Harriet Broomhead, Gridley; three sons, Clinton, Tucson, Ariz.; Duane, Appamattax, Va.; Arnold, Kalmath Falls, Ore.; a brother, Vernon, Reddick; 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. A son, two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. A retired farmer and painter, he was a member of the Salem Evangelical Mennonite Church, a member of the board of directors of Meadows Mennonite Home and was active in the church's official board.
