    2. If you've been following this thread and checked the websites, you'll see that either the family or the funeral home can file the info with the SS Dept. In fact, with some search engines for SSDI, it sometimes tells you whether the info came from a funeral home or was proven by a family member. Not for all individuals, but for some.
