24 Feb. 1955 Funeral Services were held at Mt. Olive Church Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock for Mrs. Hazel Edwards, 58, wife of Dempsey F. Edwards of Kankakee whose death occurred at St. Mary's Hospital late Tuesday. Rev. Charlie Hedges officiated at the final rites and interment was in the church cemetery with arrangements by the Smith and Edwards funeral service. She was the sister of Mrs. George Brockett of Omaha, and Mrs. Ralph Edwards and Gayel Wilson of Norris City, the deceased was born in White County on February 7, 1897 where she was a resident until moving to Kankakee 31 years ago. She was married to Dempsey on August 15, 1923.
