From The Cairo Evening Citizen, Thursday, Feb 2, 1939 MRS. JENNIE RUDDELL Mrs. Jennie Ruddell, a former resident of Olmstead, died at her home in Chicago Tuesday morning at 3 o'clock. Mrs. Ruddell leaves but few relatives, the nearest being Mrs. M. W. Sullenberger of Malvern, Ark. The body will arrive at Cairo Junction at 6:39 Friday morning and be taken to the G. A. James Funeral Home at Mound City. At 9 o'clock it will be removed to Olmstead, where funeral services are to be conducted at the Southern Methodist church, with Rev. Beaty officiating. Interment will be in the family cemetery at Olmstead. The body will be accompanied to Cair Junction by Mrs. Edith Johnson of Chicago, formerly of Mound City. *Note (The newspaper obituary spells the name "Ruddell" instead of Riddell. I also stopped by the cem. this morning and took a picture if you'd like it. It's a small cem. The grave of Jennie and other family members are enclosed in an iron fence. Most of the graves date to the 1800's. Other names in the enclosure are Davidge and Olmstead).
Thanks much Anna I would appreciate the picture if you don't mind. Thank again for a job well done. Mike
