    3. Ida E. Wesemann of Pingree Grove Funeral services for Ida E. Wesemann, 99, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 43W301 Plank Road, North Plato. The Rev. Harold Ross will officiate. Born Dec. 8, 1904, in Plato Township, the daughter of Adolph and Dorthea (nee Volkening) Plote, she passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin. Mrs. Wesemann was raised in the North Plato area. She married Edward Wesemann on Nov. 15, 1924, in North Plato. She and her husband operated the Udina Triangle from 1933 to 1943, and they moved to a farm they had just purchased near Pingree Grove. After her husband's death in 1952, she worked as a cook at the Plato Center Grade School for 16 years, and later at the Starks Triangle Drive-In for 20 years. She was a member of the St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church of North Plato all her life. At the old church, she played the organ f! or five years, from 1919 to 1924, and four more years during World War II. She was a member of the church's Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School for 20 years, and was also a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Ida was an avid Cubs and Bulls fan. She is survived by a son, Edward (Marnie) Wesemann of Hampshire; daughter-in-law, JoAnne Wesemann of Daytona Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Carolyn (Dale) Hartmann of West Bend, Wis., Douglas Wesemann and Philip Wesemann, both of Elgin and Gale (Robert) Irwin of Orlando, Fla.; and her great-grandchildren, Garran Wesemann of Elgin, and Lance, Josh and Mark Hartmann, all of West Bend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; son, Alvin in 1991; brothers, Adolph, Gustav, Herman, Ernst, Fred, William and Carl; and sisters, Anna, Pauline and Clara. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the church. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to St! . Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church or to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements were made by Fredrick Funeral Home, Hampshire.
