Ruth Ellen Duhamel of Schaumburg Funeral services for Ruth Ellen Duhamel (nee Pitterman), 75, formerly of Hoffman Estates, will be held at 8 p.m. today, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Born Oct. 8, 1928, in Long Island, N.Y., she died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, in Elk Grove Village. Interment will be held privately. Mrs. Duhamel was employed as a bus driver for the Schaumburg Transportation Company for 30 years. She was the wife of the late Joseph; mother of Ellen Duhamel, John (Larry Nay) Duhamel and the late James Duhamel; grandmother of Jason, David and Megan; and mother-in-law of Margaret Duhamel. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of services at 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
