WORLD WAR I -Do you remember someone from your family being in World War I, stories about his/her efforts, live upon return, have you uniforms, medals, photos, do you remember hearing stories about Armistice Day, was there anyone you knew killed in this war, tell a bit about them, most especially, their full names and those of the parents if you know them, did you have a job during this time and what was it that you did, how did you feel about working during the war. (If you cannot address this war period, write about WWII) 2. Other than in school for a class assignment, when have you ever had to speak in public? (or perform?) - when and where was this, how was it that you were chosen, what was your topic, did you need a long time to prepare or was the material well known, after you were finished, did you feel as if you did a good job, was it a topic that was new to you or in your 'field', was the audience a large/small group, was your presentation as an individual or as a group, what was the best advice you received prior to your presentation. 3. SHOES - go and count, exactly how many shoes do you have in your closet, can you wear them all, or are you saving them, pick one of the oddest pair you have and talk about the instance where you bought them and then wore them, what do you like about them/or dislike now, (these are now immortalized, so save them!) are you particular about the quality of your shoe or does it depend on how long you will be wearing them, how do you care for your shoes, do you regularly polish them or have them polished, have you ever had your shoes polished by another, where was this, and why did you feel you HAD to have them polished at this time, what colors of polish do you have in your collection, can you write a procedure about how to polish a shoe... from set up through clean up and, where did you learn to polish a shoe?
