Mathilda "Tillie" Fiene four year resident of Bloomingdale Funeral services for Mathilda "Tillie" Fiene (nee Meyer), 94, formerly of Itasca for over 50 years, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Addison, with the Rev. W.E. Duey officiating. She will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Born Dec. 24, 1908, in Bloomingdale Township, she died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, at Manor Care, Elk Grove. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Tillie was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Itasca Historical Society, Itasca Senior Citizens, Ladies Aid, and of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and the St. Paul Quilters. She was the wife of the late Edward; mother of Verdell (Arlo) Westmiller of Elgin, Elaine (Bud) Schweitzer of Itasca and Dale (Donna) Fiene of Algonquin; grandmother of Cindy Chipman, Sharon (Paul) Gange, Dean Fiene, Susan Schweitzer, David (Lynn) Fiene and Dawn Fiene; great-grandmother of C.J., Paul Jr., Chawna and Nicole! ; and daughter of the late Samuel and Minnie Meyer. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., Addison. Memorials may be made to St. Paul the Evangelist Lutheran Church, 37 Army Trail Road, Addison, IL 60101. Friends may visit www.dailyherald.com/obits to express condolences and sign the guest book.
