    3. Johanna Heinie of Elgin Johanna Heinie, 95, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19. Arrangements are being made by Madison Funeral Home, Elgin, (847) 741-1128. Published in the Chicago Suburban Daily Herald on 11/20/2003. below are some tidbits that I gathered from various interviews and searches....... Johanna "Hanna" Heinie was the niece of Frank Lengl of Lengl's Inn, now called Easy Street Pub. She lived in the brick home (the home of Frank Lengl Sr) at the intersection of Quindel Street and Lengl Drive until it was sold to Deerfield's several years ago. Frank Lengl was married and had children (including Young Frank) but also had 2 nieces, Frieda "Lengl"-(Fred) Springinsguth and Johanna (Hanna) Heinie (Lengl) living with him and working at the restaurant. He purchased the building and opened his Schaumburg INN in the 1920's. He was NOT the first owner of the building. After his death, it was sold and then later Hanna re-purchased the building and operated it until there was a fire in the building. For a long while, Hanna (Johanna) Heinie was at Manor Care on Plum Grove/Nerge. Hanna had an older cousin, Frieda "Lengl", who married Fred Springinsguth. Frieda was the first of the two cousins to come to USA. One of Frank's children was always called "Young Frank". It has been said that the Chicago gangsters frequented the second floor of the Easy Street Pub at Roselle and Quindel Street. As Lengl's Schaumburg Inn, it was frequented by musician Wayne King (who became a resident of Schaumburg) and others. In recent years, the building has undergone several changes including the removal of the barn to the East of the tavern. Lengl Street at one time was Nerge Street.
