Benzing officiating. Born Nov. 28, 1909, in Bartlett, the daughter of Herman D. and Martha Mensching Meyer, she passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be in the Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Elgin. Edna was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ of Bartlett and was a longtime member of the Sherman Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by many close friends. In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Ackmann in 1971; and brother, Walter Meyer.
