My BOHNE family--at least part-came from Osnabrück and Hannover--both Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) now. Do you have the name of any towns your people came from? There are many Meiers on the portion of the list I have. Do you know if you are connected to the BOHNE family in any way? I have reason to believe they may have been connected through family ties. Some BOHNE people went to Nebraska from Illinois after the Civil War. One veteran was Alfred Herman Bohne. Let me know if you want me to list the names and ages of the Meier people on the list if you think it will help you. The Marhenke's I am searching for came from south west of Hannover, Marienhagen Weenzen Thuste etc. I also have a lead that they may have come from the Banteln area. Would anyone be searching there and if so if you come across the names Marhenke, Steinecke or Meier prior to 1850 please let me know.
