Roy E. Krueger of Hampshire Funeral services for Roy E. Krueger, 53, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 208 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg. The Rev. David Hudak and the Rev. Norman Meyer will officiate. Born July 30, 1950, in Elgin, he died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at Provena-St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. Burial will follow services in the Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Mr. Krueger was a lifelong resident of the Hampshire/Elgin areas, where he was a farmer for most of his life. He also worked as a maintenance mechanic at Sloan Valve Company in Franklin Park for 23 years. Roy loved music and was an accomplished drummer and concertina player. He started his drumming career with the Bob Moehling Band and he performed every Tuesday at the River Bend Restaurant in Cary. Roy is survived by his wife, Janet (nee Honemann) Krueger, whom he married on May 4, 2002; his children, Scott (Marie) of Hampshire, Carren of South Elgin, Niklas of South Elgin and Jason of Palatine; his parents, Wilbert & Marie Krueger of Belvidere; brother, Raymond (Nancy) Krueger of Woodstock; aunt, Marian Buchholz of Waterman, Ill.; uncle, Martin (Luella) Bockelmann of Addison; mother-in-law, Doro! thy Linnemann of Itasca; and many friends, especially, Irma Shomo of Chicago and Steve Harvel of East Dundee. Roy was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Monday, at the church.
