I have noticed an entry in the Schaumburg Township Supervisor's Book of Records 1851-1914 copied page 16, a reference on March 5, 1855 to N Peck to build a bridge at Sarah Creek for a cost of $22.50, ordered by P Wing (WING, I believe to be one of the commissioners of highways and perhaps the Treasurer of the Commission of Highways.) A copy of this book can be found at STDL for your reference.......in May At this writing, I do not know where Sarah Creek is POSITIVELY but i suspect near township center! perhaps at about pleasant lane...and schaumburg road.... I will be on the lookout for maps and references to creeks in the township now.... PLEASE if you have any legal descriptions or stories about creeks and their names, share them on the list...
