Robert Carr Boeckh A celebration of the life of Robert Carr Boeckh, 74, of Elgin, will be announced and held at a later date. Born Jan. 29, 1929, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, at Sherman Hospital, after a long illness. Robert served on the Bartlett police force and retired from Plote Excavating Company. Most recently, he worked for the City of Elgin as a crossing guard for Illinois Park School. Surviving are his wife, June; daughters, Sandra (Matt) Lasiowski and Donna Sue (Kenneth) Vigna; sons, Robert H. Boeckh, Lester (Patti) Boeckh, Patrick (Donna Jean) Boeckh and Kendall (Maryann) Boeckh; stepchildren, Amy Gardner, Diane (Larry) Vicars and Steven (Georgann) Vehmeier; and 21 grandchildren.
