Raymond J. Witt of Barrington Funeral services for Raymond J. Witt, 93, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. The Rev. Robert Moll will officiate. Born Dec. 24, 1910, in Palatine Township, he passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at Lexington Health Care Center, Lake Zurich. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. Raymond was a lifelong farmer in the Barrington and Palatine areas. He was last employed at Oak Knoll Farm in Barrington. He loved farming. In his youth he attended Immanuel Lutheran Church School in Palatine. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Barrington. He is survived by his godson, Robert Oldenburg of Barrington; by several cousins; and by many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Emma (nee Baumgarten); and by his sister, Emillie (Ralph) Topple. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday, at the funeral home.
