    3. Albert F. Oldenburg of Barrington Albert F. Oldenburg, 87, died Wednesday, Jan. 21. Arrangements are being made by Davenport Family Funeral Home, Barrington, (847) 381-3411. Published in the Chicago Suburban Daily Herald on 1/22/2004. Albert F. Oldenburg of Barrington since 1942 Funeral services for Albert F. Oldenburg, 87, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, where he will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of the services. Born Aug. 22, 1916, in Elmhurst, he passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Albert was a truck driver, and a member of Teamsters Local #673, Barrington Area Council on Aging (BACOA), and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine. Survivors include his spouse, Dorothy C. (nee Harz), whom he married on Jan. 8, 1944, at Immanuel Lutheran Church; children, Robert Oldenburg of Barrington, Ronald (Patricia) Oldenburg of Crystal Lake and Alan Oldenburg of Sycamore; grandchildren, Carol, David, Nora and Darcy; great-grandchildren, Mathis Mapes and Joslynn Vogann; sisters, Dorothy (Melvin) Wilkening of Elgin, Elrena Bottcher of Harvard an! d Lucille Ciepley of Palatine; brother-in-law, Bill Reuter of Fox River Grove; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Martha (nee Hitzemann); and siblings, Mildred Neumann, Esther Johnson, Clarence Oldenburg, Lillian Witt and Gladys Reuter. Arrangements were made by Davenport Family Funeral Home, Barrington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethesda Lutheran Home, 1761 Woodgate Drive, Sycamore, IL 60178.
