Floyd E. Reiser, 73, of Marengo, formerly of Hampshire, died Thursday, January 15, 2004 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL. He was born on February 16, 1930 in Elgin to Edward V. and Lorena E. Seyller Reiser. On October 5, 1991 in Marengo at Zion Lutheran Church, he married Lois Freise. Floyd was a U.S. Army Korean veteran, former proprietor of Dreymiller and Kray in Hampshire and since his retirement for the last 12 years at Wisted's Supermarket in Marengo. He was a member of the Hampshire American Legion Post. Survivors include his wife of Marengo; a daughter, Cheryl (George) Leutke of Mondovi, Wisconsin; a son, Edward (Carol) Reiser of Genoa, IL; four grandchildren, George and Christine Leutke and Kelly and Amy Reiser; a brother, Lowell "Whitey" (Arlene) Reiser of Hampshire; four sisters, Leila "Sis" (Norman) Deihs of Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin, Rita (Morris) Kiefer and Carol "Jean" (Gaylord) Schendel all of Bull Shoals, AR and Carolyn "Joan" (Henry) Theis of Maple Park, IL. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 PM Sunday, January 18, 2004 at Zion Lutheran Church, 412 E. Jackson St., Marengo, IL, 60152 and from 10:30 AM Monday, January 19, 2004 until time of funeral service at 11:30 AM with Pastor Glen Borhart officiating. Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock, IL. Memorials in his name to Zion Lutheran Church.
