    3. Subject: brick wall as tall as....? 5 howtos there are some places on rootsweb that I go back to when I get a little SLOW on the results end. kinda like the ol' "go back to basics."! have you all tried these? all on rootsweb.com 1st: under OTHER TOOLS in the center column.. click on state resources.. this is a great place to see links that I m-i-g-h-t have skipped over the first, 2nd, 3rd, 4th time around.. then in the same place, click the ROOTS-Library.. nice visit.. 2nd: under HELP again in the center column you will see FAQ - frequently asked questions - great place to look at things in a fresh light.. 3: if you have used the home page ONLY for entering in your surname and never returned, you are cheating yourself.. do visit it and systematically go thru each entry.. click thru each of the associated levels. use that backup arrow so that you cover ALL the links... at all the levels you might find JUST what you are looking for... 4: for those that have not subscribed to the rootswebREVIEW e-zine, you might want to..comes out each wednesday.filled with how tos,.info behind the links..contributions and an advisory on the new lists that are being set up... subscribe.for a few weeks to check it out..only uses up 35/40 kb at most..and the unsubscribe is in the detail each week.. you'll copy/paste a lot I do believe.. also this ezine has an archives..so you can always read the past issues... subscribe/archives is upperleft column on home page and at the very bottom of rootsweb.com 5: the other thing I use a lot is the rootswebGUIDES... on the home page upper left column.. if you want a teacher at your keyboard. then this is the link to click on. hope this has been of value to the folks. valentine
