Binneboese, 79, of Itasca, retired president of Itasca Bank & Trust Co. and a longtime community leader, died Wednesday in a hospital near Texarkana, Texas. He suffered a stroke while driving home from Texas, where he and his wife, Beatrice, had gone to visit relatives, friends said. Mr. Binneboese served as president of Itasca Bank & Trust from 1982 to 1984, and he was a director of the bank from 1984 to 1990. He was one of four original employees of the Itasca State Bank, where he worked as a cashier when the bank opened in 1948. "He was a very caring person for his customers and believed in the ways of doing banking by a handshake, which unfortunately aren't done as much anymore," said Jack Mensching, president of Itasca Bank & Trust. Mr. Binneboese served as president of the Illinois Bankers Association, president and director of the Itasca Lions Club and vice president of the Itasca Country Club. He was an active member of the Lutheran Church of St. Luke, which he joined in 1952. He served in World War II with the Army Air Forces. His hobbies included golfing, bowling, gardening and traveling. In addition to his wife of 57 years, Mr. Binneboese is survived by two sons, James and John; a sister, Naomi Pauley; a brother, Victor; and four grandchildren. Edition: Chicago Tribune Harry Krumwiede, 43 years old, an automobile mechanic, and his wife, Rose, 39, were killed yesterday when their automobile was struck by the Midwest Hiawatha of the Milwaukee road at the Church road crossing in Bensenville. The automobile was knocked clear of the tracks. Both were dead when rescuers reached the wreckage. The accident orphaned the four Krumwiede children, Harold, 16; Leroy, 12; Bobbie, 8, and Audrey, 3. Police Chief M. Matson of Bensenville said the crossing is protected by flasher type signal lights. The family recently moved to a small truck garden near Lake street on the outskirts of Bensenville. Crash Injuries Fatal. John A. Martin, 52, of 1008 Columbia avenue, Oak Park, vice president and general manager of the Wesco Foods company and assistant director of purchases for the War Production board in Washington, D. C., died in Berwyn hospital of injuries suffered Saturday when a train demolished the automobile in which he was riding. Martin's automobile, according to police, ran into one driven by Louis Christensen, 36, of 3735 West 17th place, at the Windsor and Harlem avenues crossing of the Burlington railroad in Berwyn. Christensen's car was knocked off the crossing but the Martin car came to rest on the tracks and was struck by a westbound train. Roscoe Seymour, 42, 1745 Brown avenue, Evanston, died early today after he had been struck last night at McCormick road and Church street, Skokie, by an automobile driven by John A. Haman, 23, of 810 Michigan avenue, Evanston. Dies After Auto Accident. Morris Posner, 78, 5546 Winthrop avenue, died last night in Swedish Covenant hospital of injuries he suffered Saturday when he was struck at Foster and Kenmore avenues by an auto driven by James O. Foster, 5049 Winthrop. Foster was charged with reckless driving. Carl Hill, 13, a Negro, 4253 South State street, was fatally injured by a truck at 59th and State streets. Otis Davis, of Indianapolis, was the driver. Hugo Liebman, 60, of 1903 Cuyler avenue, a painter, died in Martha Washington hospital of injuries suffered March 14 when he was struck by a truck at Irving Park road and Wolcott street. Albert Descamps, 19, of 5102 North Clark street, was the driver. Edward Veselka, 37, a roofer who lived at 2800 South Spaulding avenue, was killed last night when he was struck at 31st street and Homan avenue by an automobile driven by Wendell Byrne, 19, of 1317 South Harding avenue. Up to 4 p.m. yesterday, 178 persons had been killed by automobiles in Cook county since Jan. 1.
