Johnson, 70, Town of Lincoln, died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at her residence of Ovarian Cancer. She was born in Roselle, IL on September 9, 1935, the daughter of Elmer and Sophie (Becker) Dohl. Helen married Martin J. Johnson on August 31, 1973 in Elgin, IL. They lived in Hampshire, IL for 28 years, before moving to Fall Creek in 2002, when they built their new home. She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Fall Creek. Helen had a very strong faith and loved her church and really enjoyed the church choir and church music. She was a former Brownie leader and Sunday school teacher. Helen loved doing arts and crafts for church bazaars. She enjoyed painting and decorating their new home. Helen also enjoyed yard work and gardening. She was very smiley and good natured and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband, Martin "Marty" of Rural Fall Creek; her children, Randy (Maryann) Shuttle, Phoenix, AZ, and Jennifer (Roger) Seiling, Galesville; five grandchildren, Patty and Caty Shuttle and Justin, Tyler and Brady Seiling; a sister, Gloria Vece, Elgin, IL; her mother-in-law, Olga Johnson, Glen Flora; three sisters-in-law, Martha Johnson and Marlene Roe of Glen Flora and Marie (Spence) Gaylord, Rothchild; two brothers-in-law, Carl Johnson, Glen Flora, and James Johnson, Marengo. She was further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Kathy in 1959; a son, David Shuttle in 1979; and a brother-in-law, Ray Vece. Funeral Services 2:30 PM Saturday, November 26, 2005 at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Fall Creek, with Pastor Ricki Bertels officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
