Reque of Elgin The visitation for Mildred A. Reque, 80, will be from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin. Born July 30, 1925, in Bloomingdale, to William and Anna Bartels, she died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at Sherman West Court in Elgin. She married William S. Reque on November 28, 1964, in Elgin, and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Elgin. Mrs. Reque worked for many years as a secretary for Edward S. Reque Real Estate in Elgin and as a bookkeeper for Acorssi Sand and Gravel in Bartlett. Survivors include three children, Debby (Dennis) Polhill of Colorado, Barb (Rich) Mc Intyre of California and Russ Reque of Carpentersville; two sisters, Evelyn Hoffman of DeKalb and Ruth (Donald) Gordon of Normal; two brothers, Harold (Betty) Bartels of Wisconsin and Ralph Bartels of Texas; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
