Freise Funeral services for Henry W. Freise, 69, of Marengo, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 6821 Main St. Union, Ill. Pastor Norman Meyer will officiate. Interment will be in Marengo City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday, at the church. 11:00 A.M. Born Aug. 9, 1936, in Palatine, the son of Henry and Elvira (nee Heide) Freise, he died Sunday Jan. 1, 2006, at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington, surrounded by his family. On Nov. 2, 1957, in Union, he married Jane Dollman. Henry served in the Army National Guard from 1957 to 1964. He was employed by Woodstock Die Casting for 25 years and retired from Union Special, Huntley in 1998. Henry had a lifelong involvement with the family business, Freise's Country Market in Union. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Jane; four children: Lori Freise of Marengo, Joni Freise of Union, David Freise of Harvard and Teri Sue (M! ichael) Herff of Hebron; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Thomas, Emily, Vincent, and Frank Herff, and Connor Freise; his mother, Elvira and two brothers, Kenneth and Donald, all of Union; a sister, Lois Reiser of Marengo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, an infant daughter, Debra Jean and a brother-in-law, Floyd Reiser. Memorials may be made in his name to the family.
