And everyone should know that there are photographs(charcoal drawings?) of Henry Thies and his wife Wilhelmina Brandes in the front room in the Clayson House. I can't wait to see them they next time I visit Illinois. He is the brother of the Fred Thies that were talking about from the 1870 Palatine census. He and his wife were buried at Salem Cemetery but were moved around 1925 to Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington. I think Kirchoff Road was widened then. I would like to say thank you to all the volunteers at the Clayson House. Preserving the history of Palatine is very important to me and my family. So keep up the good work! Jill Biermann Lawson
