    3. The current LANDSMANN (Issue #41-March 2006) (Crete and Will Co., IL historical information/newsletter), thank you Landsmann, has helped clear up my confusion with Biesterfeld families from Algesdorf to America. Karen Rowe Johann Christoph Biesterfeld (20 JAN 1802-1855) and his wife Engel Maria Hecht (26 NOV 1813-1855) (to Roselle, IL 1847) was the son of *Hans Heinrich Biesterfeld from Algesdorf #11 and Catharina Engel Maria Meyer (Biesterfeld-Meyer married 1797) (Biesterfeld-Hecht married 1835). Biesterfeld-Hecht had a daughter Engel Maria Biesterfeld (12 JUN 1838 - 16 OCT 1936) who married 20 SEP 1856 to Johann Wilhelm Matthias. Matthias-Biesterfeld family settled at Readlyn, Bremer Co., IA. Johann Christoph Biesterfeld (11 NOV 1799 - 07 JAN 1839) and Engel Maria Sophia Reese (21 JUN 1815 - 1854) was the son of *Heinrich Christoph Biesterfeld, Algesdorf #8 and Engel Maria Dorothea Rehborg (Biesterfeld-Rehborg married 1798). Engel Maria Sophia Reese immigrated with her 2nd husband Johann Friedrich Bartels (1809-1887) to Steinhauer, Pawnee Co., NE. *Hans Heinrich Biesterfeld and Heinrich Christoph Biesterfeld were brothers, sons of Hans Heinrich Biesterfeld from Algesdorf #11 and Anna Engel Sophia Bernds. So Johann Christoph Biesterfeld (1802) and Johann Christoph Biesterfeld (1799) were first cousins.
