Board of Director's MeetingThe meeting was called to order at 6:32 p.m. by Chairman Bob Vinnedge. The meeting was held at the Schaumburg Township District Library. Those attending the meeting were Nancy Lyons, Pat Barch, Bob Miller,Debby Miller, Marty Nevel, Bill Anderson, Herb Mueller, Bob Vinnedge,Sharon Kimble and Kent Nyblin. The agenda was accepted without anyadditions. Minutes: The minutes were accepted as corrected. Treasurer's Report: The balance in the savings account as of10/31/2005 was $2,601.27 with receipts of $0.93 cents interest, $1000transfer from checking, $38 in dues and $29 from donations from Encoreof Cemetery Walk at the Library. The balance in the checking accountwas $621.58 with disbursements of $1000 transfer to savingsmiscellaneous amounts for postage, supplies and copies of $218.42 anddeposit and fee for the Sunderlage Farm House of $80. Actual cashassets stood at $3,222.85 Moved by Marty Nevel and seconded by BillAnderson to approve the treasurer's report for October. All in favor,motion carried. Standing Committee ReportsFinance/FundingNo report. N.E.IL.The Rogers Park Historical Society held the latest meeting. They aretaking a survey to see who would like to take a trip to Springfield inMarch. There were several of our members interested. The DeerfieldHistorical Society has a carriage for sale. We would like to host ameeting, Herb has let them know and they will contact us. Public Relations & MembershipNo Report Research and Historic Sites No Report Social & ProgramOur Holiday party will be held at the Sunderlage Farm House on Monday,December 12 from 7 p.m. till…. Everyone will bring a dish for ourpotluck, Nancy will coordinate the food with an e-mail or phone callto the membership. Those attending are asked to bring a grab bag giftthat is home made. The business meeting will be very brief. Old BusinessThe slate of officers for the coming year are as follows: LaVonnePresley Secretary, Bob Vinnedge President, Marty Nevel Vice President,Bob Miller Treasurer, Herb Mueller Director. President Bob Vinnedgecalled for any other nominations from the floor. Seeing that therewere none, Debbie Miller moved to elect the nominees with a unanimousvote. Kent Nyblin seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried. This is the suggested calendar of events for 2006.January Cemetery Walk, Nancy LyonsFebruary or March, Jane Rozek for lecture on historical research,April, Old Timers roundtable discussion. We will replace the signage at the schoolhouse with something moreattractive. This will be done for the 50th anniversary of thevillage. Marty will look into a more permanent sign. The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m. so that the membership couldattend the library's program about the Century of Progress.
