    3. From the St. Peter Schaumburg, IL church records Sophia Wilhelmine Karoline Thies was born 24 OCT 1858, baptised 27 OCT 1858, daughter of Otto and Sophia Thies... I have that she was born at Putten Hill, DuPage Co., IL... sponsors were Wilhelmine Bottermann and Karoline Wenthe. (My sources noted for this family were Larry Nerge, Family Tree Maker CD V-13, Tree 1709 T. Schumacher, researcher J. Malwitz and St. Peter Schaumburg, IL baptism records.) I am missing page 51 of the St. Peter baptisms to verify, Larry Nerge may have it. Sometimes names were noted differently in different sources ( Friedrich Otto Thies? or Maria [Mary] Sophia Pollworth?). Maybe LaVonne could give us her source? I am grateful for any corrections.     3. and now about the marriage that you commented about pertaining to pfingsten...was that at st peter scha? could you have changed the sequencing of names..? and arrived at a conclusion? an easy enough thing to do? just as an aside for the list... when we look at old records...and this is especialy tru with st peters record... the UNDERLINED name is the name that is commonly used by the person... chancing the sequencing or assuming that because thenames were the same in the string, that it is the same person is not something that should be done... this cnversation about this relationship is rather important and a perfect example to all that CLOSE does not make it TRU... i know that in the next days things will be confirmed.... I looked again at the church records and the baptism record (page 51, book 1, item 23) definitely shows her birth as Oct 27, 1856 in Michigan, even though her baptism date was oct 24, 1858. Again, her confimation record (page 203, book 1, item 4 for girls) indicates a birth date of Oct 27, 1856. Using the Michigan link, I found a 1860 Census entry in Centreville, Leelanau, MI for the Otto & Sophia Thies family.
