Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington, with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of services. The Rev. Jeanne Hanson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Barrington. Born April 20, 1921, in Palatine, she passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, at Alden Long Grove Rehabilitation Center in Long Grove. A homemaker, Helen enjoyed traveling, gardening, arts and crafts and sewing. Survivors include her son, Steven (Holly) Rieck of Elgin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry F. Rieck, whom she married April 19, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa; a son, Thomas; her parents, William and Mayme (nee Luersson) Wiedrht; and a sister, Vernette Thies.
