"Bob" Oehlerking, 73, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Oehler Funeral Home, on the grounds of Ridgewood Cemetery, 9900 Milwaukee Ave., Des Plaines. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Born Aug. 9, 1932, in Evanston, he died Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Manor Care of Arlington Heights. Mr. Oehlerking was a mechanic for Kruse's Amoco in Des Plaines for 44 years. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a general craftsman who enjoyed making model airplanes, and loved family gatherings and helping friends. He was the husband of the late Barbara A.; father of Dale (Marilyn) Oehlerking and Martin (Karen) Oehlerking; grandfather of Robert, Faith, James, Jacklyn and Jessica; brother of the late Joyce Burns; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
