Fricke, 81, one of the first residents of Hoffman Estates, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Interment will be private. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Charles was a World War II Navy veteran and one of the first volunteer fireman in Hoffman Estates. He was the former scout master of Hoffman Estates Boy Scout Troop 100, a member of the VP-8 Alumni Group and a member of UAW Local 701. He was the beloved husband of the late Mae R. Fricke (nee Leech), whom he was married to for 48 years; loving father of Marianne Fricke, Michael (Charmaine) Fricke, Cheryl (John) Blandford, Christopher (Susan) Fricke, Cameron Fricke, Craig Fricke and the late Charles W. Jr. (Pamela) Fricke; cherished grandfather of Jason, Cherie, Anthony, Adam, Cody, Vincent, Matthew, Carrie and Jeremy; fond brother of the late Joseph; and uncle of Joseph Fricke Jr. and Bradley Fricke.
