Schuler of Lake Zurich Services for Eleanor A. Schuler (nee Rateike), 93, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, IL 60067, where she will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services. The Rev. Dennis Aubey will officiate. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Born Aug. 10, 1912, in Wheeling, she died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights. Mrs. Schuler was a lifelong resident of the greater Palatine area, a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and an avid Cubs fan. Survivors include her children, Elaine (the late Paul) Anstedt of Lake Zurich, Carolyn (Kay) Erickson of Osceola, Ind., Elroy (Lizbeth) Schuler of Nashville, Tenn., Larry (Nancy) Schuler of Lyndon, Ill. and Stephen (Connie) Schuler of Johnsburg, Ill.; 12 gran! dchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four great-stepgrandchildren; and siblings, Gladys (the late Harold) Benhardt of Roselle, George (Trudy) Rateike of Arlington Heights and Paul (Kay) Rateike of Hainesville, Ill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer A. Schuler; second husband, Herbert; son, Robert Schuler; parents, Paul and Anna (nee Koeppen) Rateike; great-granddaughter, Tiffany Schneider; and sisters, Viola Schuler and Bernice Pfortmiller.
