Nebel of Elgin The funeral service for Officer Chad R. Nebel, 30, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 310 E. Main St., East Dundee, with the Rev. William Yonker, Senior Pastor, officiating. Burial with Honors will follow in the Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services, Monday, in the church. Born July 3, 1975, in Arlington Heights, he passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005. Chad was a veteran who had served in the Marine Corps. He joined the Elgin Police Department in 1999, and served as a resident officer in the resident officer program (R.O.P.E.). He also served as a member of the Elgin Police Honor Guard.
