Jordan of Elgin Funeral services for Bobby H. Jordan, 73, will be held at 1 p.m. today, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, with the Rev. William Morris officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin. Visitation was from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Born April 12, 1932, in Kennett, Mo., the son of Ira Bee and Lillian Westerfield Jordan, he passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, in his home. Mr. Jordan had been a resident of Elgin for over 50 years. He had been employed by Campanelli Brothers and Schaumburg, and then by the Village of Schaumburg, before retiring. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Elgin. Surviving are his wife, Bessie Reis Jordan, whom he married March 10, 1952; three children, Bobby H. (Candace) Jordan of Elgin, Bryan (Gail) Jordan of Huntley and Regina (Gerardo) Valdivia of Elgin; seven grandchildren, Cody, Chad, Jon, Eddie, David, Alex and Kaitlyn; and one sister, Ruby (Toy) Cheshire of Poplar Bluff, Mo.!
