courier news 10 18 2005 Lester J. Humbracht, Sr., 87, a longtime resident of Carpentersville, died Sunday, October 16, 2005 at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. He was born on January 13, 1918 in Bartlett, IL, the son of the late August and Lillian Jay Humbracht. In May of 1941 in Elgin, he married Marjorie Jane Curry. Lester was a retired steel molder. Lester is survived by his children, Lester "Butch" Jr. (Joyce) Humbracht of St. Charles, Pat (Gene) Horton, and Bonnie Humbracht all of Harrisburg, IL; a sister, Jane Ping of Bartlett; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife on May 2, 2002; a daughter, Virginia M. Smale on May 9, 1996; and three brothers, Robert, Lawrence and Louis. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St, West Dundee, IL 60118. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 20, 2005 in the funeral home. Rev. Frank Hewitt officiating.
