Jurs, 60, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, with the Rev. Roger Pollock officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, in the funeral home. Born June 30, 1945, in Elgin, the daughter of Frank Joseph McCracken and Annabel Schuett McCracken, she passed away Friday, March 3, 2006, at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood. She was a graduate of Elgin High School in 1963, and had been employed by Dietary Managers Association for the past seven years. She had also been employed by Ackemann's Department Store for 21 years, Aid Association for Lutherans for six years, and Bank One for nine years. Surviving are her son, Jason (Angie Brown) Jurs of South Elgin; four sisters, Cathy (Woody) Thompson of Tucson, Ariz., twin sister, Lynneen (Warren) Danielson of Elgin, Lynda Warner of Elgin and Marti McCracken of Elgin; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth L. Jurs; brother, John Uteg; and sister, Ellen Uteg Parsons. Memorials may be given to the Gift of Hope. For information, 847-741-8800.
