Busse, 80, will be held at noon Saturday, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee. The Rev. William P. Yonker, senior pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Mount Prospect. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Born Sept. 5, 1925, in Elk Grove Village, the son of Raymond and Laura (nee Oehlerking) Busse, he died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at home. Howard was raised in the Elk Grove and Mount Prospect areas. He was a farmer and farmed in East Dundee for many years. After retiring from farming, Howard worked for many years at Randall Oaks and Bonnie Dundee Golf Clubs. He was a longtime member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of East Dundee. He is survived by his sons, Glenn H. (Susan) and Dennis W., both of Galesburg, Ill.; daughter, Joyce Schmelzer of Shelbyville, Ind.; grandchildren, Nicholas, Christine, Curt, Tanya and Dallas; nephews, Donald (Paulette) Jensen of Huntley and Ronald (Lou Ann) Jensen of Hampshire; and former wife and cargiver, Maria Busse of Carpentersville. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Violet M. Busse (nee Goebbert) on Jan. 20, 1997; sister, Marilyn Jensen; and brother-in-law, Melvin Jensen. (Susan) and Dennis W., both of Galesburg, IL, and a daughter, Joyce Schmelzer of Shelbyville, Indiana. Five grandchildren, Nicholas, Christine, Curt, Tanya and Dallas. Two nephews, Donald (Paulette) Jensen of Huntley and Ronald (Lou Ann) Jensen of Hampshire. He is also survived by his former wife and caregiver, Maria Busse of Carpentersville. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Violet M. (nee Goebbert) Busse on January 20, 1997; and a sister, Marilyn Jensen; and a brother-in-law, Melvin Jensen. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at Noon in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. The Rev. William P. Yonker, Senior Pastor, will officiate.
