Cahill, 86, formerly of Ontarioville, Ill., will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, to 10 a.m. Mass at St. Peter Damian Catholic Church in Bartlett. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until prayers Friday, at the funeral home. Born Dec. 15, 1919, in Ontarioville, the daughter of Herman and Lena Wichert, she passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital. Lucille had worked at Illinois Bell for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Peter Damian Catholic Church in Bartlett and a member of the Pioneers Club. She is survived by her husband, Richard T. Cahill of Elgin and many close family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister. For information, 847-741-8800.
