Cochran of Schaumburg The funeral service for Lois E. Cochran (nee Swanson), 81, formerly of Hoffman Estates, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 208 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg, where she will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Schaumburg. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Ltd., 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Born Aug. 25, 1924, in Chicago, she died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. Mrs. Cochran was retired from Land of Lincoln Savings & Loan after 12 years, and from the First National Bank of Chicago. She was also a volunteer at St. Peter Lutheran Church of Schaumburg. She was the beloved wife of the late James E. Cochran; loving mother of Robert (Eduardo Gomez) of Downers Grove, Paul (Dawn) of Crystal Lake and Richard (Christine) of Dallas, Texas; and fond sister of Bernice Steffen and the late June Johnson and William Swanson. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to Alexian Brothers Medical Center or the Schaumburg Fire Department. For information, 847-882-5580. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E.; and two siblings, June Johnson and William Swanson. Interment was in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Schaumburg.
