Golf Road, Schaumburg and continue with Mass at 10 a.m. at the St. Hubert Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home. James was born July 8, 1931 in Chicago and passed away on March 18, 2006 in Buffalo Grove. He was retired from Dean Foods after 37 years of service as an inside dairyman. In 1983 he was ordained as a deacon of the Chicago Archdiocese and served at St. Hubert Catholic Church. James was the former Assistant Chief and a volunteer fireman for the Village of Hoffman Estates with 17 years of service. He worked for the Public Works Department of the Village of Hoffman Estates retiring after 17 years of service. He served honorably with the Army during the Korean War having been awarded the Purple Heart and the Korean Service Medal with five bronze service stars. James is the beloved husband of the late Antoinette; devoted father of Carol (Tim) Brady, Susan (Joe) Geneva, James, Jr. (Renate), Nancy (Jorge) Carreno, Debbie (Al) Geneva, Pamela (Brian) Eastman, Peggy (Rick) Lethert and the late Patty Ann & Diane Marie; loving grandfather of 19 and great-grandfather of 5; and the dear brother of Bernice Asher, Mickey (Frank) Koster and Barbara (Sonny) Bach.
