courier news 0830 Lois E. Pfingsten was born and raised in Elgin. She was 102 years old. Daughter of Emma and Harry Zimmerman. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church all her life. Lois was a legal secretary for Ranstead Lehmann for 50 years. And was a member of Elgin Women's Club, Sherman Hospital Auxiliary, Valparaiso University Guild, Elgin YWCA and the Elgin Association of Insurance Women. She was preceded in death her husband of 38 years, Percy Pfingsten, who died in 1966. She is survived by her several nieces and nephews.
