Perrin of South Elgin Funeral services for Mable A. Perrin, 85, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Elgin, with the Rev. Martin Balzer officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church. Born Aug. 30, 1920, in Roselle, the daughter of Fred and Anna Hunnerberg Backhaus, she passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at Heritage Manor, Elgin. Mable had been a resident of South Elgin for most of her life. She was employed at the Elgin National Watch Company and then Wabash Tape Company, Huntley, before retiring. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Elgin, where she was active with the Ladies Aid of the church. Surviving are her son, Michael (Karen) Perrin of Elgin; grandchildren, David (Kathy) Perrin, Timothy (Joyce) Perrin, Becky Hopp and Amy (Lance) Moffett; grand! children, Christopher, Jeremy and John Perrin, Tyler and Logan Hopp, and Benjamin and Rebecca Moffett; sisters, Marie Fettes of Huntley, Evelyn Callahan of Lawton, Okla., Betty Diedrick of Garden Prairie. Ill., and Leone Luepkes of Kirkland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael in 1987; son, Jerry in 1968; and one sister and brother in infancy.
