Gloede of East Dundee Funeral services for Mamie B. Gloede, 96, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, in the Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee, with the Rev. William P. Yonker officiating. Burial will be in the Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, in the funeral home. Born March 29, 1909, in East Dundee, the daughter of Fred and Martha (nee Greve) Brandt, she died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, at Sherman West Court Nursing Home in Elgin. Mrs. Gloede was a lifelong resident of East Dundee, a lifelong member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of East Dundee and a member of the Dorcas Society. She was a 1926 graduate of Dundee Community High School. Following graduation from high school, Mrs. Gloede worked for the First National Bank of Dundee for 7 years, prior to she and her husband beginning their family. Mrs. Gloede is survived by two daughters, Karen (the late Paul) Michalski of East Dundee and Ba! rbara (the late Roger) Christopherson of West Dundee; four granddaughters, Monica (Devin) Moose of St. Charles, Brenda (Steve) Bollman of East Dundee, Andrea (Steve) Petzborn of Huntley and Lori Wilson of East Dundee; two grandsons, Michael (Stacy) Michalski of East Dundee and Brian Christopherson of West Dundee; and 11 great-grandchildren, Jacob and Samuel Moose, Emily, Matthew, Allison and Jack Michalski, Hannah and Max Bollman, Alex and Andrew Petzborn, and Brittany and Braden Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester C. on Sept. 24, 1980; her son, Philip on Dec. 25, 1957; and two sons-in-law, Roger Christopherson on Oct. 7, 1996 and Paul Michalski on Nov. 18, 2003.
