Simon formerly of Arlington Heights Services for Eleanor A. Simon (nee Gieseke), 103, of Mountain Home, Ark., will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Oehler Funeral Home Arlington Heights Chapel, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Born July 4, 1902, in Palatine, she died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, in Mountain Home. She worked most of her life in food service, and was able to enjoy 41 years of retirement; spending time with her family - especially her grandchildren, dancing and cooking. She was the wife of the late Martin Simon; mother of Esther (Robert) Wolfe; grandmother of Joseph (Dee) Taylor Jr., the late Robert Taylor and the late Donna Jean Zenner; great-grandmother of 11; great-great-grandmother of 18; great-great-great grandmother of two; sister of six late brothers and five late sisters; and fond aunt of many.
