Pohlman formerly of Lake Zurich The funeral Mass for Gilbert J. Pohlman, 62, of Palatine, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 11 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Interment will be private. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Born Feb. 6, 1943, in Chicago, he died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Gilbert was an Army veteran. He had worked as an engineer within the telecommunications industry and was a retired employee of Illinois Bell and AT&T. Surviving are his children, Beth (Jeffrey) Uhlir and James R. (Elizabeth) Pohlman; grandchildren, Daniel and Kevin Uhlir, and Kara and Katherine Pohlman; brother, Craig Pohlman; nephew, Scott Pohlman; and longtime companion, Nancy M. Meyer.
