I think that Larry is not only doing the NERGE family tree but a tree of those individuals who have resided in the township and surrounds... I could be wrong, but as Larry finds this and that pertaining to the township residents, the materials is assessed, analyzed and added... Some of these entries might actually just HANG out there as TOP LEVEL family relationships with SChaumburg Elk Grove palatine as the TOP level... I could be wrong... I guess what I am saying is do not assume that all the entries on Larry's charts is an indicator that they are RELATED to the NERGE family... they MIGHT be but there is no guarantee... once here in the USA, many of our contemporary residents can trace their lineage back to some of our first generation elders... it goes to show that in some areas, everyone can be shown to be related by marriage to many others in that same area... I found on a trip to the hometown of my family that I am related to about 90% of the current residents... it is a true illustration of how people as wel as money can COMPOUND!
Val is correct. In January of this year I obtained a hardcopy of the church records for St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Schaumburg. I already had several indirects of indirects in my family tree. Using the church records, I selected surnames that were in my tree and built family groups by pulling together birth, confirmation, marriage and death records. Even if I couldn't find any link to what I already had, I still added these family groups to my tree. My hopes are that someone will someday give me a key bit of information that will tie things together (this has happened many times). Of the three church volumes, my tree now shows about 50% of volume 1, 80% of volume 2, and 25% of volume 3. Chances are good that if you are related to some of the first generation Schaumburg residents, you will find them in my tree. I recognize that searching the five reports on my web site may be difficult, so if you have questions, please feel free to contact me.
